How in control are you?

With deadlines and exams on the horizon, the temptation to go into lock down - emotionally, physically, spiritually - can feel the only way to stay alive.

Chained to the desk, head down, eyes fixed on the library commute, hands glued to coffee mugs, no day light in the diary, no chance of flexibility or freedom until this thing is done...

Hold on. The final term of the year was not made to send you underground into a war bunker against the world outside of the word count.

Keep showing up to your church family

Don't ever believe the lie you are too busy or stressed to get God-perspective in worship or strengthened for the journey in prayer. Time is made for humanity to have some sense of a framework and boundaries. God made time for us, time is not God. You have enough space to take a breath and not lose yourself in this next leg of the run.

If you want to give yourself some signposts of hope and adventure up ahead once you're through this term, you've got one more week to get you and your mates a place on Escape and Pray. Sign up for a God-adventure where you are firmly not in control and reliant on the Holy Spirit to be your guide and strength and provision.

We are praying for you as a student mission team, there is an opportunity to worship God in your work and offer to pray for your mates. We keep afloat, we do not get overwhelmed, we have hope that anchors our souls.

'Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us. This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls.'

Hebrews 6 (NLT)

No need for lock down. Look up.
