Youth Workers, grab this opportunity!

For most students this is the last week of term. In just a few days they will be ready to head home and flop, be looked after, and plug back into life at home. As their youth worker embrace this opportunity to welcome them home and back to church for maybe the first time all term. Grab this time to celebrate all that God is doing in their lives and encourage them. And for those that haven’t connected with a church, re-centre them and share more of who Jesus is and His welcome home.

The above all sounds so simple but have you asked your returning students how uni is going and hit a wall with a dead end answer of “yeah, its’ good thanks.”?

We have gathered 10 questions to scratch below the surface to help you get a real sense of how their term has actually been- from their spiritual welfare to their fave night out.

Ten Questions to Ask:

1.What have you discovered about yourself that you didn't know before?

2.Where have you seen God at work?

3.What's been your biggest achievement?

4.What's been the hardest thing this term/year?

5.What are you most thankful for?

6.What’s your favourite night out? (This is a great one, it gives permission to share all aspects of uni life, not just the “Christian” bits.)

7.Who is the most interesting person you’ve met?

8.What has been your favourite module so far?

9.Where/what are your opportunities for serving others?

10.Who are you praying for to become a Christian?

We LOVE questions at Fusion, they are a game changer! Being asked a question always communicates that you care and that the person is valued. I can guarantee theses questions will cultivate depth and vulnerability which will lead to growth!
