Wild Hope is a missional experience which equips young adults to confidently share Jesus.
Last summer, Ana was a part of Wild Hope and she was able to share a testimony with her non-christian friends.
“It was such a blessing to be a part of Wild Hope last year. When I got back home I was able to share my experiences with my non-christian friends. Previously they were never really interested in what I believe.”
Ana had the opportunity to pray for someone struggling with their mental health. When she shared this prayer opportunity from the Wild Hope mission training and outreach with her non-christian friends, they were really impacted and intrigued because they could relate to mental health challenges.
“When I shared my testimony with them, they were amazed!”
Another student, Oscar, has done Wild Hope twice and “loved it both times - doing Wild Hope has really increased my faith, love for God and love for mission.
The boot camp is a really good time to learn and hear testimonies that increased my faith. Also, the training in sharing the gospel was really helpful and opened my mind to some more creative ways of doing evangelism.
But we weren’t just taught how to in theory, we got to go out and put it into practice and learn from others who were more practised at doing it. I found this part really beneficial.
I’ve also found it very encouraging to be surrounded by people who really love Jesus and I have made some great friendships through Wild Hope. The act of doing mission together makes friendships form very quickly.
I think it’s really important as a student to push yourself out of your comfort zone and be bold in telling people about Jesus. I found that doing this at Wild Hope made it easier to tell my friends at uni about Jesus and also gave me some testimonies that I could share with them. After Wild Hope I have had a much greater passion and boldness to go out and tell people about Jesus. Doing this has been very formational for my character.
Although it might seem nerve wracking to sign up to something like this, in reality it really wasn’t. Everyone on Wild Hope is so friendly and I never felt forced out of my comfort zone, but lovingly encouraged to step out.”
Wild Hope is a dynamic ten-day missional experience equipping 18-25 year olds with the confidence and ability to share Jesus wherever they go. Through time spent together in prayer and worship, serving as a team alongside a local church, and receiving input from experienced missionaries, young adults grow in their relationship with God, their love for the lost and their communication skills. This year's Wild Hope will be based in Harpenden and London from 4-13th July including joining with The Send at the OVO Arena Wembley.
