“I am currently studying on an Acting course at one of the top Acting institutions in the world (LAMDA) and I am in my first year of studies here but since I arrived, I felt God calling me to create a space for Him in this school, which can feel so distant from God. So, I gathered a couple of people I knew were Christian and I started a small Bible study group at the end of January.
At first we only had about six people and we would meet in the smallest studio in school about an hour after classes ended but I knew God definitely wanted this space as we would go on discussing, debating and asking questions for about three hours until the estates team would start shutting down the building.
Since then, we have grown to about fifteen people in the group, have become the first official Christian Union Club in the school and meet after school once a week to discuss certain themes and read the Bible and encourage one another.
In the building, there is a designated space called the Prayer Room, where we sometimes meet in the mornings to pray over our days and school. A couple of us had an idea to leave bibles in there as some people use the space as a chill area and would be able to read the Bible without anyone watching or any expectation.
I found out from my church, SAINT, that Fusion provides students with free bibles which was perfect for us! I reached out to enquire and they agreed to send us ten bibles for us to put in that room which I believe will really help us see a shift in doing more evangelism and outreach to the people who don't yet know Jesus.
However the future of this group looks, I am always grateful to God that as Christians we never walk alone, and we always have Him and other believers to rely on in our walk!”
