Ascension is the church on Claude Avenue, in the heart of Oldfield Park linked to St Michael's Twerton as part of the Marlbrook family of churches.

We have recently been through a season of change and renewed our vision to become more intentional and accessible to the next generation. Is God calling you to JOIN US as we begin this adventure of becoming a church on mission to reach out to all local people, young and old with the transforming love of Jesus and the message of the gospel?

With a vision to be a gathering and scattering 'family on mission', we plan to meet as big church fortnightly and then scatter into smaller extended families we call missional communities seeking to reach people with God's love and grow as communities of disciple-making disciples. We are in the early days of this however, so we are excited to see who God sends us to join in this new vision.

What do we do for students?

Lunch for students on 2nd & 4th Sundays following the 10.30am service.

As well as an opportunity to find a multi-generational extended spiritual family to belong, we also believe God has opportunities for you to pioneer mission to your student community and the local residents of Oldfield Park. We want to be part of that journey in releasing and encouraging you into God's kingdom mission.
