City Gates is a lively, charismatic church of about 100 people, many of whom passed through London Universities in recent years. As well as meeting at All Hallows' on a Sunday, our other base is our cafe in Soho (called The Living Room) which we use for our work with internationals and English conversation classes, homeless outreach, red light outreach, music gigs and other community projects. City Gates Church loves students and wants to see them grow in their love of God, each other and the world. We understand that although London can be a vibrant and exciting city, without a community of friends around it can also be daunting and lonely. At City Gates we welcome students into our church community and love them to get stuck in with everything we do. There are opportunities to get to know other students, join a church small group and get involved with our many different ministries.
What do we do for students?
Although we love our Sunday services, we believe that our small groups are at the heart of what we do, so as well as visiting on a Sunday, come along and try out one of our groups too! We have groups aimed at students, creative types, internationals, families, people reaching out to homeless people in London and many others.
