Just like many of you freshers, St Matt’s is new to the city. We’re a church plant from Holy Trinity Brompton (HTB) that launched in September 19. We’ve had an amazing commission from the Bishop of Exeter to love, encourage and help every student in Exeter to find and flourish in their faith. We are so excited to show our city how loved they are by God. We believe we’re called to be a church where all people can feel at home, to influence our neighbours, housemates and those on our courses with our passion for Jesus established in what the bible describes as ‘real life’, founded in a relationship with God. We want to be known for our passion founded in His presence, in a place that every student calls home, digging deep in worship, teaching, mission, Alpha, friendship & fun.

What do we do for students?

This year we’ll be launching a number of different things specifically tailored to you, the main thing will be our ‘Students’ gathering mid-week. St Matt’s is all about relationships. We really want you to feel at home and a part of our community from the word go so we’ll be doing our best to welcome you at St Matt’s, we’ll kick it all off with a big student party.
