City Church Sheffield
A bit more...
City Church is a lively group of individuals brought together by God into His family, with the Bible and the Holy Spirit at their heart. We want to bless students while they’re in Sheffield. Students will be trained for life, leadership and prepared for whatever God leads them to post-university. Students at City Church are:
• Equipped by God
• Embedded Into Family
• Excited for Mission
The best way to live your life is to take each and every step with Jesus. The Bible describes this as walking in step with the Holy Spirit. At City Church we do this by fellowship and studying God's Word together on Sundays, in Hubs and as students all together.
It's people that makes a new city a home. By being part of a Hub and serving in all areas of the church, students get the opportunity to build deep friendships with the whole church family.
Jesus sends out His disciples many times throughout scripture. Like the rest of the Church family, students are encouraged and excited about sharing Jesus' good news with housemates, course-mates, family and anybody they come into contact with.

What do we do for students?
After our Sunday meetings we will have a big lunch together as students. A few of these at the start of the year will be with a Hub at the Jubilee Centre straight after the meeting. Afterwards we will sometimes arrange for students to go to a church members house for lunch or go out for lunch together as students.
Every Friday evening we have our Manna Cafe at the Jubilee Centre from 7-9pm. Each week we will hang out together, eat some food, play some games of pool and other board games, and then dive into the bible. We will spend time looking at who God is and learning how this effects our lives as students.
There are also plenty of opportunities to reach out and invite house/course mates to student events. We always have two big socials: a Christmas social (where we eat a full Christmas dinner) and a bonfire social (where we eat some good food round a fire pit and go to a nearby fireworks display). Throughout the rest of the year we do smaller things like trips to do laser quest and the pub.
