Exeter Network Church launched in January 2005 and is an established church within the region. We have a heart to reach and serve the city with spirit-filled, joyful mission. As a Church of England BMO (Bishops Missional Order) we exist to be creative and pioneering in the way we love the city, which is a great commission to be part of!
We are a community who love God and aim to follow Him in a fun, uncomplicated and relaxed kind of way with mission as the heartbeat of everything we do at ENC. We seek to engage with the community around us through our day to day life and the various networks that we run. We also love to bring up leaders and have a rich history of training and sending students and young adults to be church leaders and worship leaders who go into the region, the nation and across the globe.
We would love to see you at our Sunday gathering, which is at 6:30pm at Sidwell Street Methodist Church building. (Every 1st Sunday of the month we meet at 4pm for our core@4 gathering which is both gatherings rolled into one big family time together!) We also gather every Thursday night, in term time, at St Stephen's building right in the town centre for our 18-25's hub, Essence.
What do we do for students?
ENC is an exciting place for students to thrive and grow in their faith and gifting. We love to train young adults and give opportunities to grow in leadership within the safe environment of church family and, having planted churches recently, we are very much looking for more youth and kids team leaders as well as musicians and tech team. We have planted/helped to plant churches regularly over the years (including 2 in the last 2 years) and students and young adults are always a key part of the teams that plant.
As well as Sundays, we run a weekly gathering called Essence, in term time, for our 18-25yr olds at ENC. We meet on a Thursday evening at 7.15pm at St Stephen's Church building right in the heart of the city. We are a diverse mixture of students and young adults who are excited about following God and are on a mission to reach people with His love in fun, creative, relevant ways. We do this through Campus Prayer, CAP, Healing on the Streets and Hungry.... to name a few of our outreach arms! You can find out more about Essence on the Facebook group link.
