A bit more...
G2 is a fresh expressions church known its for adventurous and innovative nature. We aim to be as open and accessible as possible, and our vision is to help all people discover and follow Jesus Christ, at whatever stage of faith and life they are at. We are a very invitational and welcoming church, we absolutely LOVE students and have loads of families and young professionals from all walks of life in our church who are always keen to connect with students.
What do we do for students?
We are big on friendship, justice, mission and worship. These values are reflected in the activities and events we want to put on for and with students.
Squares. You haven't had the full G2 experience until you have checked out one of our student-led discipleship groups called 'squares'. These are groups of 4 or 5 which help build brilliant community and provide you with both great friendships and great opportunities to fully unpack what it means to discover and follow Jesus.
Student nights. We run two different student nights in termtime. The first is 'Gather' - all about building community, gathering together centrally to hear relevant teaching and inspire us to grow in our faith at uni. Secondly, 'Presence' - these are nights of prayer and worship, helping us understand more of what it means to listen to the Holy Spirit and learn about spiritual gifts.
Hubs. These are smaller mid-week groups which all age groups in the church attend and run on a termly cycle. Hubs are a brilliant way to form community and build friendship with people of all ages and have fun whilst learning together to practice doing the things Jesus did.
There will be plenty of opportunities to connect with the rest of our church family, get stuck in with leading and serving on Sundays and if you have any ideas for things you reckon G2 Students could do we would love to hear them!!!
