Severn Vineyard Bristol

We're all about fun, identity and making a difference, as we follow Jesus together. Buzzing to live this out on and off campus in Bristol!

A bit more...

We are a diverse student family at Severn drawn from UWE, Bristol University and BIMM. No matter what background, culture or querks: we LOVE and CELEBRATE vibrancy and distinctiveness. The call on our lives is to stand out in who we were made to be and not be conformed to the patterns of this world.

What do we do for students?

We want to give you a huge welcome when you arrive in September! When you arrive we'd love to connect with you over coffee as we understand that moving away from home for the first time can be a daunting prospect. We'd also like to treat you to a meal as welcome to the city after church during freshers.

There's nothing like a church to help you settle in. It's a great way to make new friends and feel the warmth of not just other students, but several generations of people who call Severn their church.

What to expect?

This year we are using FLEEKY to describe what we're about this year.

Fun: We are a community that enjoys life and puts value on having a good time!!

Love: We choose to actively love our Campus and City. Whether that’s giving out water and chatting with ravers on a Friday night; or affirming our housemates in their identity and speaking life over them; or looking out for the homeless and seeing if they need food, drink or prayer. Love is a verb.

Eat: Every week after church we hang out over food and if it is your first time with us then we want to take up the bill as a welcome to the city.

Explore: We want to go deeper into the bible, deeper into seeing the miraculous become reality and take risks in sharing what we believe.

King: In all that we do we want to be firmly rooted in Christ who is the King of our lives and has set us free. We want to live in His authority and power.

You: We want to grow in our identity and live into the knowledge that we are individually, unconditionally loved by God and designed for greatness.
