Loving God – The Passion

This is where is all starts. God shows us his love in Jesus Christ who died to save us and rose from death to give us life. So we want to love God with all that we are, and live for his glory by making much of his Son.

Following Jesus – The Journey

We are called to be a disciples of Jesus who make more disciples. We want to follow him in every part of our lives, believing that God wants Jesus to be supreme in everything. We are convinced that true discipleship means being:
•Bible centred because Jesus is the centre of the Bible and we love him
•God dependent because Jesus promised the power of his Spirit to those who trust him
•Authentic community because Jesus unites people from diverse backgrounds in his body
•Mission focused because those who follow Jesus are also sent out by him

Sharing Hope – The Challenge

We believe that following Jesus is the best way to live, but it doesn’t stop with us. God has blessed us through Jesus to make us a blessing to others. He calls us to share this blessing with the world by proclaiming the good news of Jesus, and demonstrating his love in action. We aim to do this within the city of Southampton, around the world, and in our contribution to the wider church.

What do we do for students?

Uni is often the single most crucial time for people in shaping their identity. We want everyone to know their identity in Christ.

Many students come to the 11am and 6pm service. After the evening service stick around and have pizza and hot drinks with us and meet other students and people in the church! During the first few weeks of the autumn term after the 11am service we have student welcome lunches specifically to help you get to know our community.

Our small groups meet across the city every week, we invite housemates to eat with us, after dinner we study the bible together.

Once a month everyone meets together at the home of one of our ministers for food, a talk and time together.

We also annually have a Day retreat the autumn and a Weekend Away in February/March. These are for many students a powerful time of encountering God and going deeper in community with others.

We also love for you to get involved in the church family, offering a host family who will take you home for a meal from time to time, and many opportunities to serve in the diverse ministries of the church to the city, nation, and world.

We strongly encourage students to get into a 1-2-1 discipleship relationships and the student leadership team (volunteers and staff in the church) are happy to help you with that! We are also always glad to meet up with you and support you be it in prayer or helping move that giant sofa!
