St. Andrew's North Oxford

St Andrew's is a church that aims to grow God's family, and there's a place for everyone here no matter where you are on that journey.

A bit more...

St Andrew's is a church that aims to 'Grow God's Family', so whether you have been following Christ for years and are looking for a fellowship where you can thrive, or you're just exploring who Jesus is and what the Christian faith is all about, we want you to know that there's a place for you here.

Our Sunday services vary a bit in style, but at all the Bible will be read and preached as God's word. We are also very active throughout the week, with activities for all ages. Whatever you come to, our prayer is that you will encounter God and grow in your knowledge of Him.

What do we do for students?

Students are welcomed into the church family with open arms, and there are plenty of ways to get involved. We're currently working on better supporting students, and as a family church we believe we can offer a loving, supportive community during your time in Oxford.

Our Sunday meetings are:

0800 Holy Communion
This is a contemplative, spoken service of Holy Communion, following either Common Worship (1st, 3rd & 5th Sundays) or the Book of Common Prayer (2nd and 4th Sundays), and includes a short sermon based on the lectionary readings. Coffee and croissants are served after the service.

9.30am Family Worship
This is a time for the whole family to come to church for worship, teaching and fellowship. During the service there are groups for children 0-11, and we have an All Age service on the first Sunday of the month.

11.15am Morning Worship
A more traditional, liturgical service, with the same sermon at the 9.30am.

6pm Service
This is an informal service with lively sung worship led by a band, vibrant teaching, and space for prayer ministry during or after the service. We share communion on the 2nd and 5th Sundays.
