St Matts Leeds is a community based in Burley, Leeds. We have been designated one of 5 Church of England resource Churches who were created to intentionally resource mission across the city, by planting and revitalising churches, help disciples of Jesus grow, develop leaders and provide other resources for mission.

We think a church family should be about more than just a Sunday and so we want to help you have an opportunity to CONNECT with others, GROW in faith and SERVE in God’s mission.

What do we do for students?

We're passionate that all young adults are integrated into our wider church family and are welcome to get involved in any part of our church life and mission.

However, we also recognise that studying is an exciting chapter of life with its own unique challenges and opportunities, and so also want to create spaces for young adults to grow in faith.

These include:

- Connect Groups - these are our mid-week groups oriented around discipleship, community and mission (some have a missional focus around Young Adults, but there's a mix of missional focuses and ages).
- The Five and Feast service aimed at young adults.
- Young Adult community events; regular community meals, socials, worship nights and walking trips outside of the city.
- Opportunities to grow in discipleship and leadership.
- Regular pub trips after church services
- Community prayer rhythm.
- Plenty of ways to get involved; including with our food bank, youth and childrens work, Alpha, prayer events, worship and more!

11am is our Morning Service: (from Sep 4th we will be meeting at 10am) A community for all ages: space to worship, listen, learn, discuss and respond to God’s presence amongst us.

5pm is The Five Service: Our evening service gathers people aged 16+ to meet with God and one another in an informal and relaxed setting. It's a diverse community but particularly aimed at growing and discipling students and young adults.

As part of the Five, we also regularly gather for The Feast. A service centered around the table; where we eat together, share communion and create more space for discussion.

Outdoor Church: An interactive, all age, forest church service aimed particularly at families with children under 12yrs. This service usually takes place in our prayer garden on the last Sunday of the Month at 9.30am (10am from September)
