The Well

A small, friendly, active, engaged, outward-looking church in Shrewsbury Town Centre. Main meetings Sundays 11AM, Thursdays 7.30pm.

A bit more...

We at The Well are small in number but big in heart, wide in age-range, focussed and creative in outreach, warm and supportive in care, committed to good conversation, passionate in singing, truthful in preaching, faithful in prayer, genuine in listening, rigorous in study, honest in working through the tough questions, and above all joyful in sharing the love of God.

We partner closely with other local churches (of various denominations) in prayer, fellowship and outreach.

Our outreach includes frequent free meals sometimes accompanied by talks or relevant movies; plenty of street evangelism (including street preaching and music but largely one-to-one in-depth conversations); public events at the University (for example a recent Discussion between one of our leaders, and the Chair of the local Humanist society, before a packed audience); weekly Bible Studies where we encourage honest discussion; and constantly encouraging one another in building and cultivating good friendships with other Christians and with those who don't follow Jesus.

What do we do for students?

If you decide to come along, you and your friends can be sure of a respectful welcome, the honest presentation of the good news of Jesus, and plenty of space and opportunity to ponder, question and discuss. And usually some good free food.

We are committed to encouraging and supporting you in any way we can in your studies and life in Shrewsbury.
