Here at HTL we love students, and it’s our absolute pleasure to walk alongside you for what will be some of the best years of your life! They will be filled with laughter, tears, and memories you’ll never forget - and we want to be a part of it.

With HTL Students you’ll grow in your faith, learn how to disciple and love others well, and go for more cups of coffee than you’ll care to count. We are centred on Jesus, passionate about sharing Him with the people around us and helping you to become who God has made you to be - Whilst having lots of fun along the way!

What do we do for students?

Small Groups - Small Groups are the beating heart of our community. Uni can be a rollercoaster with the highest highs and the lowest lows (usually related to essays), and Small Groups are there to celebrate with you in the best moments and cry with you in the hard moments. Our Small Groups meet every week in Students homes and are spread out across the city.

After-Hours - Most students come to our 6:30pm evening service, and afterwards we have different After-Hours hangouts. We play games, have fire pits, pizza nights, hold Q+A sessions with the church leadership to ask the big questions, pudding parties, a classic pub trip, and lots more.

Student Gatherings - Student Gatherings are a chance for us all to come together as a community and worship, pray, listen to the word and seek God together. These happen every month and there’s always great food!

Justice - As a community, we are learning what it means to ‘act justly, love mercy and to walk humbly with God’ as young followers of Christ (Micah 6:8). We are passionate about seeking justice in the world and enabling those with a heart for particular justice issues to lead us in confronting them. We have done walks for freedom against modern day slavery, awareness campaigns for climate change, prayer and awareness for persecuted Christians and more. If you have a passion for a particular justice issue, we would love for you to teach us and help us to fight it.
