St Philip's Sheffield

St Philip's is a church community in the heart of Sheffield. A welcoming, creative and active family pursuing transformation together.

A bit more...

At St Philip's (formerly known as City Base), we don't think it's possible to change lives alone, so we regularly join together in small groups to encourage and challenge one another to live life well. We also join together in larger groups to seek transformation for the people and places around us through prayer and action. We then meet together on a Sunday and celebrate where we see God at work.

We are particularly passionate about welcoming the many students that come to study in Sheffield and getting alongside those living in the urban estates in the North.

As well as using our base at The Printhouse as a place to meet on Sundays, we use our office space to support start-up businesses, our gathering space to host a variety of events and our prayer space as a sanctuary in the city and for the city.

Why not pop by sometime? We'd love to meet and get to know you.

What do we do for students?

We want to call and equip a movement of student missionaries to a lifestyle of prayer and action.

If you are a student and you love Jesus, then you're not just a student - you're a student missionary.

We encourage every student who comes to St Philip's to get stuck in to one of our existing Community Transformation Groups, become a part of the family and join the family mission of calling the city back to God. We have missional communities reaching out to Students, International Students, The Twenty-somethings in the work place and The Urban Poor in the North!
