St Matt's is a welcoming Anglican church looking to share Jesus' life together as we get to know him more each day.

We want to be family, grow in our relationship with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and have an infectious excitement about our wonderful Living God.

What do we do for students?

St. Matt's is first and foremost a friendly, welcoming church where we gather to share together and to inspire each other to live out our faith whatever walk of life we come from. Don't come with a label of age or where you come from, just come and explore what a difference Faith in Jesus could make for you and watch how he is shaping the lives of others.

Having said that, a significant number of our congregation are drawn from life at university so a sympathetic ear and plenty of free Sunday Lunches are always available. There are significant opportunities to share and explore your gifts alongside the congregation: music, children, youth, local mission, technical and audio, welcoming, prayer, coffee being a broad, but not exhaustive set of examples.

In terms of unique student opportunities, we can offer mentors or friends, who could meet with you to study, pray or offer friendship through your time at university.

10.30am - main morning service, more informal with a real church family-feel

During the week...
First Wednesday of the Month: St Matt's Night, A chance to gather, pray and often share communion
Home groups - smaller groups with opportunity to share faith, ideas, burdens and joy. The common threads seem to be Jesus, prayer and cake!
