Reading Family Church
A bit more...
We are a lively church family of over 400 people. We have a vision to be a growing, Jesus-centred community, bringing God’s Kingdom to Reading and beyond - we desire to grow in our worship of Jesus, aligning our lives to His teachings, whilst helping others to do the same and knowing, accepting and caring for each other. We want to play our part in meeting the needs of our town; helping create footprints of justice, mercy & hope. We want to bring joy, peace and transformation wherever we find ourselves during the week and to be those who joyfully share our time, talents and treasures to further God's kingdom beyond our horizon!
What do we do for students?
We are committed to seeing students totally integrated into church life and helping them to develop their own walk with God, caught up in everything that we do. Students are especially encouraged to get involved in our Lifegroups (http://www.readingfamilychurch.org.uk/lifegroups) - there's groups to fit everyone! We're a super friendly church and we welcome you to come and have a look for yourself; if you’re studying here in Reading there’s a place for you at Reading Family Church.
Student lunches are organised weekly for the students to meet - they're are a great way of getting to know each other as well as people in the church who aren't students. We also run a student lifegroup specifically focused on introducing you to the foundational aspects of our church and building relationships!
We mix in lunches at people within the churches homes, we put on worship nights and other talks/events and throw in a few socials as well as continuing on with some of our altogether lunches!
Socials, study lunches (exams are a reality after all!), sports days and post-summer-ball brunching, plus time to hang out and enjoy the sunshine and a few more events to grow in relationship with God!
