We all learn in different ways, and this means we all learn about faith differently too. This ultimately shapes how we share Jesus with others. Mission Styles is a tool designed to help you recognise how you are naturally wired to share Jesus, but it also equips you to share your faith with your friends. It allows you to speak their “language” by deepening your understanding of how they respond to the Gospel.

Mission Ideas
- Give them a role to do at Church if you invite them along. If you volunteer on a team ask them to join you as you serve.
- Invite them to join in a social outreach project that your Church or Small Group is helping with (or organise one yourself that you can invite them to!)
- Find ways of practically serving them and others in your friendship group or local community. If living with a Show Me, could you do their chores or help them revise?
- Identify a need someone you know has and ask them if they would help you bless them.
- If they have a particular skillset, ask if they would like to use it by helping out at a church event.
- Ask them to help you cook dinner and practically host your Small Group for one evening, and extend the invitation for them to stick around for the whole session. Alternatively, let them organise a Small Group social with you.
- Engage them in a cause your Church or a Christian charity is raising money and awareness for.
- Invite them to a Baptism service where people will be recounting how Jesus has changed their lives for the better.
- In a Small Group, they need to know that the time spent together is purposeful, and that there is a clear plan for what you are setting out to do.
Top Tips
- When sharing faith with a Show Me, make sure they are not just observing but actually getting involved. They want to take part if they know doing so will help bring change and make a difference.
- Demonstrate practical generosity in your day-to-day life to your Show Me friend. How are you being open-handed with your time, money and resources?
- When you make a suggestion or think of an idea, make sure you follow through and actually do it.
- Avoid overly long conversation or vague guidelines, as a Show Me will want to know what they can be doing and ultimately just get on with it.
- Share your testimony: what real change has Jesus done in you and how does he practically help you everyday?
