Dear Keith

If you could write a letter to yourself as you started uni, what would you say?

Dear Keith,

God is far more faithful than you can ever imagine so don’t worry too much. His care and love for you is beyond your wildest dreams and even the hard things you are facing [ and in my case it was usually relationships – can you imagine what a younger Keith was like in his early 20’s with regards to ‘girls’ ) well all those experiences have formed me into who I am and are still being used today in my later life as the foundations of how I live.

It just keeps getter better with regards to my relationship with God, yes it does every day even after 40 plus years of being a Christian, So remember when it's tough and there are tough decisions , do the right thing always [ you will know in your heart what that is if you take time to look],and enjoy being loved by a Great God. Also remember to get your foundational principles right, keep going to church ( this is where you will find the best friends in your whole life) and the more you take time to pray and read the bible the more over time you will get to know God’s heartbeat and in that is the greatest fulfilment of all.

Also be ready to be really surprised, God can and indeed will use you for his kingdom work in ways you can hardly even dream of today but there is no quick fix , the longer you stay committed and listening to God’s heartbeat the more you will be able to be used for the greater good. Experience takes time, there are no shortcuts so just keep going faithfully, and enjoy all that will unfold it will simply be fantastic.

Keith.
