18-30 conference: retreat to advance

The title of this event, ‘Retreat to Advance’, has two meanings:

1. Getting away for a great weekend at Center Parcs including use of the great facilities, taking time out from hectic schedules to be still in God’s presence, hear from his Word and be inspired and empowered by the Spirit to be sent out in mission.

2. Addressing the frightening retreat that’s going on in UK churches at the moment. Recent research suggests that just 6.3% of people still attend church, and of that only 5% are in their 20s. This means that 18-30s are giving up on church, believing that Christianity has next to no relevance to their lives. This weekend aims to address this front on, finding creative, effective and even dangerous ways to engage with culture, advancing God’s kingdom in our workplaces, universities, schools and homes.

Pete & Bee Hughes will be hosting the event, and will be joined by guest speakers including Simon Ponsonby, Debby Wright, Graham Cray and Mark Greene. Worship will be led by Nick Herbert and Ben Cantelon, and there'll be a variety of seminars to choose from throughout the day.

Attendees can book for themselves and we'll sort their accommodation out for them, or get a group of friends together and book an entire villa. All villas have one double and two twin rooms.
