I am Anna - labels, heart, cupcakes and all

My name is Anna.

If I was to label myself... i'm a student, a receptionist, a daughter, a trainee Psychotherapist, a chatterbox, a Christian, a runner, a massage lover, an experimental cook, a writer, a wife.

We like putting people in boxes, I do it too. Our first question is often "what do you do"? We like to explore the answer. It's amazing how one word, one label, can create a picture. Occasionally accurate, often wrong! The picture is completely incomplete. What about the heart? Callings, dreams, aspirations, the things we hope for and the things that hurt.

So I don't know what you got from my little list. It's easy to see through our own lenses, and often small talk stops there. So let's take it further, let me tell you more about my heart.
I left a promising career in a London advertising agency to pursue my heart for Women's ministry and train in Psychotherapy. God made it clear that I could squeeze my own aspirations into life, or align my heart with his and live in the safest place to be - the centre of his Will (heavenly not necessarily humanly safe, and certainly not always comfortable). I yearn to see women step up to their callings, taking risks in conversations and outreach, discipling one another, and seeing change in their own lives and those around them. I particularly enjoys chats over latte's and cupcakes... or manicures.

So i'll be blogging once a week. Your Tuesday girl! If you have any topic ideas or anything you'd like to hear, drop me an email on anna@fusion.uk.com or ladies, if you're in London and fancy a coffee or a glass of vino, get in touch.
