“Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”

Eph:5v14

 

This is my prayer for the churches of the UK and it is already being answered as we speak. For too long local churches have been dormant in student mission, like sleeping giants. But morning is coming and there are new signs of life every day.

Kings Christian Centre in Birmingham recently celebrated their 70th anniversary. They are new to student work. But 6 months after connecting to Fusion they have grown to 30 students. Five of whom are new Christians - all of whom are more passionate for Jesus now than they were.

This story is replicated all over the UK. Armies of Jesus believers are gathering in churches, increasing in faith and courage, and taking the message of their saviour to a generation that is completely lost without him. 

When the dead are raised, it is unexpected. People don't see it coming. This is true of the church. So whilst the world predicts the death of the church and the failure of Jesus, let's call the church into life and speak to the life-giving eternal glory of Jesus the King.
