Two churches and four student groups have got together for 3 days of loving the University of London. Larry Platner from Agape sent us through this update last night:
"It is actually happening. Today was the first day of the loveYourUni with a number of events going on. Probably close to a thousand students were served in some way.
All of the 50 or more loveYourUni students were excited by the response and are looking forward to tomorrow. Many of the students being served were asking "Why are you doing this?" and when told we want to serve you because of God's love, they found it hard to believe that there was no agenda and that it was free. It definitely make an impression.
We were blessed with great weather today and what a difference that made. The students have done a great job of handing out leaflets, and later one overheard a classmate mentioning that it was loveYourUni week and inviting them to go with him to the check it out."
Let's keep praying for them as they step out this week! They have had huge favour with the student's union. We want the students of UofL to know the love of God tangibly in their lives. For more info, go to the facebook event.
