Shift NYE 2013

Students, your new year's eve plans just got better... here's our Shift Team mates to let you in on the party, and Miriam will see you there!

So last year we thought let’s throw a New Year’s Eve party and hope a few of our friends would show – 500 people did. This year we are doing it again but bigger & better, St Pauls Hammersmith, 31st December doors open 8pm – 3am, everyone is welcome.

Our heart was to start 2012 off as we meant to go on, focused on Jesus, anticipating not just the midnight countdown but the whole year ahead – ready, expecting to work out a shift in ourselves, our heart for our local churches and a shift in our nation’s culture. You may say "well, er, that’s quite a big hype up for a night" but for us especially as a team the whole night was simply a testimony to God’s goodness, grace and faithfulness hence why we are slightly excited!

This year will see a line up of live music, praise & worship, entertainment, a prayer exhibition, guest speaker and a countdown followed by a party featuring guest artists & a DJ. Also featured are our purity and integrity networks – Last Man Standing & Of pure gold along with a few treats and surprises! Tickets are £7.50 online or £10 on the door. Group bookings get a free ticket for every 10 people. Click here to book your tickets.

Shift NYE 2013’s theme is heritage. As a network we understand that as 20 to 30s we are simply joining in on something God has been stirring in the generations before us and will continue to build in the generations that follow us. Our campaigns for 2013 centre on the idea of discipleship, the importance of learning from those older than us and investing in those younger than us.

As Shift this has been a crazy year for us, a lot of lessons learnt and stepping up and sacrificing for what we believe God is calling us to. If you are not already involved or can’t make it to NYE, check out our Facebook group, like our page & follow us on Twitter. Get involved in our networks Last Man Standing (brotherhood) and Of Pure Gold (sisterhood) looking to tackle sexual purity, holiness and integrity in our day to day lives.

Get your (very cheap) ticket now and we’ll see you in London this New Years Eve, we will no longer be off our faces, but on our faces, for Jesus and because of Jesus. We will be remembered for being a generation that stood up!
