Not me.

It’s actually all about your glory,

Not mine.

It’s actually got nothing to do with me.
It’s how good you are.
 
I live me-centred,
People-centred,
World-centred.
When it’s actually God-centred.
 
God-wrapped,
God all encompassing,
God surpassing understanding,
God folded, remoulded,
Carved by the living Creator.
 
Since when did we get over God and get into “us”?
Since when were we called into “me, me, me” rather than
“You, you, you” ?
 
Since when did God say,
“Take your eyes off me and go for whatever you see”?
Since when did God become me-focused?
 
He didn’t.
God is God-focused.
He’s all about the glory,
The coming of His glory.
 
Since when did we believe we know best?
We can fix it, save it, recreate it.
Who does the saving?
Who, at the end of time, at the end of your life,
Holds you?
Holds everything?
 
Since when did we forget we are held? Loved?
Since when did we fall silent?
Since when did we miss that by God being God-focused,
God so loved that He gave?
 
Since when did we so love that we gave…
 
Since when did prayer become stale,
Cold, sanitised, prescribed… dull?
Since when did God stop talking?
He didn’t.
 
Since when has God stopped inspiring everyone who knows Him,
Grows in Him, receives Him,
To die for Him?
 
He hasn’t.
 
Since when were we prepared to settle for anything less than the truth?
For mercy, justice, forgiveness, healing, love and power?
 
Since when did we stop believing that God is enough?
Since when did we stop believing?
 
Wake up.
Breathe into life.
The creator is calling.
Now is the time to be alive.
 
Since when were we called to live life to the full?
Since then. Since forever. Since now.
