Last Tuesday night hundreds of people, led by students, descended on Parliament Square to pray for our government and the world. Pat Allerton, the visionary behind the event, fills us in.
"Thank you for all your support and prayers for ‘7:14 – Parliament Square Prayer’. We had an extraordinary time on Tuesday night, with hundreds of people coming together to pray for our Nation and Government.
Many carried lanterns, candles, glowsticks and lights, a prophetic, visible statement in the very heart of London. Our singing was heard in the House of Commons as MPs went to vote, and one MP who came out to stand with us was moved to tears after many people prayed for him. When Big Ben struck 8 we all fell to our knees and cried out together before singing Amazing Grace.
It was a peaceful, visible, beautiful event. We trust that God has heard our prayers!
Please also pray for the Lord’s will to be done concerning anything going forward. And keep your ear to the ground for more 7:14 events.
An event ran concurrently in Durham’s Market-Place on Tuesday night, and there are rumours of a 7:14 in Edinburgh and Wales.
Who knows, it could just be the beginning...
May His Kingdom come and His Will be done!
God Speed.
Pat"
