I play golf every week. It’s my way of disconnecting from stress and connecting with God’s green earth.
I recently read golf psychologist Bob Rotella’s book “The Golfer’s Mind”. A section on dealing with mistakes jumped out to me that I have transferred into my general life.
I believe that if you adopt this response to making mistakes, it will help you greatly. When you make a mistake:
1. Acknowledge it (don’t pretend it didn’t happen)
2. Accept it
3. Learn from it
4. Forgive yourself
5. Move on
Most people struggle with at least one of these steps. What about you?
