Thrown by chaos?  Shaken by change?  Fearful in the unknown?

Thrown by chaos?

Shaken by change?

Fearful in the unknown?

This is a crazy time of uncertainty. For students, particularly those in their final year, “what now?” and “what next?” are questions that are tough to answer and tough to navigate.

This blog isn’t going to answer “what now?” and “what next?” but will hopefully help you find your footing, help you remain grounded and centered as you navigate those things.

I often catch myself thinking - I’ll be peaceful when I have a plan, when I’m on top of my to-do list and when everything is in order. In short, I’m peaceful when I’m in control.

Over the last few years, I’ve been learning (again and again, and again) what it means to find peace in Jesus. In Romans 15:13 it says...

13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and as you trust in him.

We find peace in Him, not in order and control.

He is not thrown by chaos and His agenda is the same, He is steadfast and faithful.

We find peace as we centre ourselves on the Father, as we choose to draw near to Him and trust Him. He is not thrown by chaos and His agenda is the same, He is steadfast and faithful. We read in Psalm 23 that he is with us in the darkest valley, this is a time to remember his faithfulness and remain in it, despite fear, frustration, and disruption.

As you navigate “what now?” and “what next?” let the Holy Spirit fill you, take some time out with your father, rest in His presence and trust Him with everything. Take a moment now and ask the Holy Spirit to fill you with all joy and peace.

May you be filled with his peace as you step into his presence, may you trust Him in the unknown and may you know the joy of the Lord in this time.
