world vision student ambassador programme
what is a student ambassador?
A Student Ambassador is a poverty conscious individual at University who wants to stand up against injustice and speak out against what they believe is wrong in the world.
They are prepared to give up their time and energy to raise awareness about poverty related issues and challenge the thinking of their friends and peers.
what do they do?
They will become World Vision’s representative on their campus and will carry out a number of tasks to help develop World Vision’s presence at Universities across the country and increase the number of students involved with our campaigns work.
The two main tasks would include being our representatives and advisors on campus, letting us know what is going on, pitching ideas for our campaigns work and giving opinions on our ideas, and building support for our campaigns through petitions and other activities.
They would also have the chance to take part in a number of other activities that we would support them in such as writing for their Uni paper, making a poverty fighting video for YouTube, lobbying their local MP, lobbying their student Union, creating a World Vision group and anything else they can think of!
