The #fusionroadtrip spent two days in Durham, equipping the local church to love their uni. About twenty of us had a go at listening to God and stepping out in boldness with what we heard... the results were so exciting, here’s just one of the stories, as told by Bekah:

'As we were praying for God’s heart for Durham and what he wanted to do in our city, God really spoke to each person, revealing some prophetic words about his plans. One of the words was that we should pray for someone who might ask us what the time was. After having walked around Durham for about an hour, I had had a few conversations and had a great time blessing people. But it was on the way back that I really saw God moving powerfully. 

While walking up the hill to my college, an international student stopped me and asked for the time, telling me that he was going to be late for a lecture. I thought this was clearly God, so took my chance, offering to pray. Slightly taken aback, he agreed but asked me to be ‘quick about it’ because he had to be somewhere. He then told me that he was deaf in one ear and had been his entire life. 

Healing is something I have some experience of but I’d never known God to work in a two minute interval before. Nonetheless, I decided to take the plunge; I laid my hand on his ear and spoke God’s healing over it. I finished praying pretty quickly and then asked him how he felt (not expectantly, to be honest). 

To my utter surprise, he told me that he could hear out of the ear! God had completely and utterly healed him! I’ve learnt that God is really alive and at work today and he is POWERFUL; I’m praying that this is just the first of many signs and wonders! God is really pouring out his Spirit over this nation and I’m so glad to catch a glimpse of it in Durham!'
