Nobody Puts Baby In A Corner

When the apostle Paul was on trial for preaching about Jesus, in his defence speech he says,

‘What I am saying is the sober truth. And King Agrippa knows about these things. I speak boldly, for I am sure all these events are familiar to him, for they were not done in a corner!’ Acts 26:25-26.

Jesus’ ministry, death and resurrection was not done in a corner. It was not secret or private. It was loud, public, open and life changing.

This gave Paul the confidence to preach boldly about Jesus and what he has done for us.

What does this mean for us today? … Don’t live your faith in a corner! Don’t keep it a secret, be embarrassed or hide it.

We know what Jesus has done for us. He died on the cross, so all the things we do wrong can be forgiven and we can now have a relationship with him and go to heaven. The relationship we have with Jesus means we have purpose in our life, we have peace and friendship. We have someone we can rely on and we have unconditional love.

This is not something we want to hide in a corner.

So when you’re at uni, lets not hide our faith in a corner. Let’s live it out, boldly and with confidence! Let’s act differently in the way we treat people, in what we say or do. In what we think, watch or listen to. Let’s be confident in telling our friends about what Jesus has done for us. It’s good news! Let’s share it.
