"An ending better than any other"

Dave Richardson I can’t get enough of good news stories. Up and down the country, students are coming to know Jesus for the first time but often, we don’t get to hear about it. It’s so important to keep encouraging and inspiring each other that Jesus is alive and working in people’s lives, especially during the times that it feels like we don’t see much fruit.

The following is a testimony from Dave Richardson, a student who’s part a church we’re connected to called ‘Freedom Bath & Bristol’. He became a Christian Uni and shares his story here:

“Here goes! I came to Bath to start university in September 2005. I wasn't brought up in a Christian home, and I wouldn't even say I was really looking for God, but he was looking for me! One of the girls who lived in my halls told me she went to this amazing church in Bath, and it sounded so intriguing that I asked if I could join her one Sunday. When I turned up, it was totally different to my preconceptions! It was inside a huge hall, there were loads of 'normal' looking people my age! When the worship started I was blown away, and I couldn't believe people communicated with God through electric guitars and drums- I loved it! Finally we heard a message from the pastors, and I felt like they were speaking directly to me. When the church prayed at the end of the service, I really felt for the first time ever that I could feel God, like He was actually there with me. So I decided to ask Jesus to show me more about himself- nothing massive, but I just wanted to know a bit more of him in my life. It's been such a journey ever since! Some ups, some downs, but lots of freedom, and I know that this journey has an ending better than any other! Bring it on!”
