I came to university as a wide-eyed fresher excited for a new season of life, but what life had in store hit me like a ton of bricks. I found myself with a deep longing to meet Jesus again, I just didn’t know where to find him. A student worker from a local church reached out and asked to meet for coffee, and now my life has been transformed by God’s love!
Now I've graduated and I am the student worker for that same church and I am working with Fusion as a Student Mission Developer in the North East. I see students all around me who don't know Jesus. Students hold so much God-gifted potential to change the world for the better, but they need to know Jesus to unlock it. They are in an identity crisis and we need students to know who they are, and whose they are. That their true worth and potential is only defined by the One who created them, who knows them and loves them completely.
Our campuses are brimming with the next politicians, doctors, teachers, scientists, CEOs, accountants, parents, therapists; imagine how different the world would look if they were all transformed by the hope and love of God. The world needs that, that church needs that and so do we!
Jesus longs to meet with these students and He is using Fusion and the local church to make it happen. As Team Holly, I’m excited to go on this incredible journey together, sharing amazing stories and prayers along the way. Will you be a part of God’s big mission for students?
