THE STUDENT MISSION AWARDS ARE COMING IN FEBRUARY 2018. WHAT STORIES OF MISSION HAVE YOU GOT TO SHARE WITH THE WORLD? COULD THE SHOW ME AWARD BE YOURS?
Uni life can throw a number of different problems at us; whether it’s losing friends, losing sleep, losing your phone, forgetting to pay your rent or having no food in the cupboards. Many a thing will fly our way that makes us ask, "can we fix it?"
Show Me girl sure can.
This award is for how you have reached the practical ones; the efficient, the think-it-through, the read-all-the-instructions ones who just love to fix it.
This award is for joining in with the ones who see the need and meet it (in the most efficient way possible, of course).
This award is for reaching the ones who want to see the fruit of the gospel; does Jesus make a meaningful difference in the world and in our lives? Does this ‘God stuff’ actually work?
This is because mission is not just a concept, it is tangible and effective; it demonstrates the love of God.
Show us how you have been reaching the Show Me people on your campus! How have you shown ‘can we fix it?’ guy that the love and power of God really can fix it?
Whether through meeting the needs of people in your city, washing up for some freshers, finding practical jobs to get them involved in community, or simple acts of kindness - we can’t wait to hear how you’ve been reaching out to the ‘show me’s’ near you!
