Take this as an opportunity to wait. Wait for God.
Wait for your perspective to lift, lift out of what you’re doing and where you’re going next. Let this moment be a moment you acknowledge and experience, now is the time to see God, hear his tender voice and receive his fire. Fire is often born in secret, away from the crowds, the platforms, the noise. The spirit meets you now where you are, not where you think you should be. See him now, see him here.
Consider the words of the Psalm 62:5-7
For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him.
Be reminded that God is your all in all, your source, your abundance.
He knows about the mess. Your emotions and thought life are not strange to him, you are found in him, in his righteousness.
Take the opportunity to wait, to see him now, see him here.
Let’s not be in a rush, nor a hurry. Jesus is the eternal God, the everlasting father, the prince of peace. All creation sings of him, speaks of him, yet we look like him, crafted in his image.
He calls you out to meet with him, to recognise his voice. He reminds you of this boundless love, flowing through you and out to the world. He knows you’re dust, yet he promises his spirit. Receive God’s fire once again.
See him now, see him here.
