"Students have been saying how they’re too comfortable in their small groups..."

At Fusion, we believe that each story shared has the power to ignite hope and inspire students that their role in the student mission narrative is significant. The story we are a part of is always bigger than we think it is, which is why it’s crucial that we celebrate stories of how God is working through local churches across the UK and beyond. Becca, a Student Intern in Lincoln, shares her experience…

“Recently, students in our church have been saying how they’re too comfortable in their small groups and want to be out on the streets. So instead of their normal small groups, they’ve been meeting together, eating, praying, and worshipping, and then they’ve been going out. Some groups have been treasure hunting, asking for prophetic words to share with people, and others have been serving the homeless people in our city!

Since then, other people in the church have got behind them and said they felt that the Spirit of God is over the 18-25s. They had a picture of God working through this generation and believe that something is going to happen through us, so wanted to be a part of it! They’ve now volunteered to cook for our small groups before we took to the streets to support us. As students and team, we’re buzzing! It’s just a really exciting time.”

We love to hear your stories of students stepping out in faith. If you have a story to share, email Viki.Seithel@fusionmovement.org to submit yours!
