"We didn't have enough chairs for all the people that came!"

When Sarah's church outgrew their meeting space, it was time to find a new place to worship. Moving towards the North of Liverpool, Sarah found herself just 10 minutes away from a university. Met with a group of students they had never had the opportunity to connect with before, Sarah and her church began to pray.

“We’ve seen our student group grow in their faith through their Bible study groups. We’ve just started the book of Acts and it’s amazing to see Acts in action. We had been meeting in living rooms but have outgrown our spaces, so we ended up meeting in a large space in the North of the city.

However, there is a uni only 10 minutes away from the new venue where we’re meeting and we were meeting there and praying for God to move in this part of the city."

The church in Liverpool decided to invest in the students in the local area by launching a new evening service, led by students and 20s, for students and 20s.

"Last Sunday our church did the first evening service in this new area of town and it was so encouraging to see the students and 20s take a real ownership of it. It’s been amazing to see their excitement over this area of the city that isn’t even near their main uni."

"We didn’t have enough chairs for all the people that came!"

Sarah found that more students and young adults came than they anticipated, showing a hunger for God in this part of the city.

"There were prophetic words shared and the Holy Spirit moved. Really specific words were given that people who came responded to. It’s been encouraging to see our student and 20s group read Acts and know that the Spirit is alive and active today and seeing God move in response to their prayers and obedience, faith and trust! We’re really excited to see what God will continue to do in this area as we seek his ways and plans!”"
