The Well has its roots deep in the Baptist church movement. We value worship, authenticity, scripture & people in equal measure; our purpose as a community is to know HIM more and to see His Kingdom come in Sheffield. We're a missionary-sending, church-planting, Spirit-filled community; we're passionate about learning how to share the Good News with the many cultures around us, including Sheffield's thousands of university students and young adults.

The Well is led by husband & wife team Marjorie & Nick Allan. Nick first came to Sheffield as a student and has lived here ever since and now as a Baptist minister, he and Marjorie have led churches in the city filled with young adults for the past 11 years, and welcomed many of the Fusion student link-ups.

What do we do for students?

Here at The Well we LOVE students, and it’s our pleasure to welcome you to Sheffield. It’s going to be an incredible few years of joy, tears and more drama than a weeks’ worth of Netflix boxsets — where you’ll spend ENDLESS CUPS OF COFFEE trying to define, explore and figure out who you really are. We want to CHAMPION you in your journey with Jesus in your time at university.
