A friend recently asked me, “How do you work with young adults and stay sane? They know nothing and they think they know everything - annoying!”

I shared Richard Rohr’s quote with him. “Without the old man, the young man can’t do anything. Without the young man, the old man won’t do anything. 

It is so important for established church leaders to remember that they need the energy, drive and enthusiasm of the young or they will stagnate. And the younger leader needs mature input to guide them in the right ways. 

Raising leaders is both frustrating and dynamic.
